Fried Chicken Waffle Ingredients
Method
Fried Chicken Waffle Directions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
In a bowl, combine buttermilk, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Add the chicken, ensuring it's fully coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- 2
Prepare the Waffle Batter
In a separate bowl, mix the waffle mix (or homemade batter) according to the package instructions or your recipe.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge in all-purpose flour, making sure to coat well. Fry the chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
- 5
Cook the Waffles
While the chicken is frying, cook the waffles according to your waffle maker’s instructions until golden and crispy.
- 6
Assemble and Serve
Place a waffle on a plate, top with a piece of fried chicken, and drizzle with maple syrup. Serve immediately.
