Marinade Preparation
- 1
Make the Marinade
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, chopped green onions, and black pepper. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved and all ingredients are well blended.
- 2
Marinate the Pork
Place the thinly sliced pork shoulder in a large resealable plastic bag or a glass dish. Pour the marinade over the pork, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
Cooking
- 3
Cook the Pork
Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated pork (discard any leftover marinade) in a single layer. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the pork is cooked through and slightly caramelized.
- 4
Garnish and Serve
Once cooked, remove the pork from the heat. Transfer to a serving platter and sprinkle with sesame seeds and additional chopped green onions. Serve hot with rice and your choice of side dishes.
