Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Belly

Rinse the pork belly under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Cut it into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Season the Pork

In a large bowl, season the pork belly pieces with salt and black pepper. Mix well to ensure even coating.

Marination

  1. 3

    Prepare the Marinade

In a separate bowl, combine soy sauce, Sriracha sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Whisk until well blended.

  2. 4

    Marinate the Pork

Add the seasoned pork belly pieces to the marinade. Ensure all pieces are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Cook the Pork Belly

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the marinated pork belly on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the pork belly is crispy and caramelized, turning halfway through.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Garnish

While the pork is baking, chop the green onions and set aside. Toast the sesame seeds in a small dry skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until golden.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Dish

Once cooked, remove the pork belly from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
