Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, gochujang, chopped green onions, and black pepper. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Beef

Slice the beef sirloin thinly against the grain. Add the beef to the marinade and ensure all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced bell pepper, julienned carrot, and sliced onion. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still crisp. Remove the vegetables from the pan and set aside.

  2. 4

    Cook the Beef

In the same skillet, add the marinated beef along with the marinade. Cook over high heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is cooked through and slightly caramelized.

  3. 5

    Combine and Garnish

Add the cooked vegetables back into the skillet with the beef. Toss everything together and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and extra chopped green onions before serving.
