Method
Preparation
- 1
Clean the Baby Octopus
Rinse the baby octopus under cold water and remove any beaks or innards. Pat dry with a paper towel.
- 2
Prepare the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, red chili flakes, and honey. Whisk together until well mixed.
- 3
Marinate the Octopus
Place the cleaned baby octopus into the marinade. Make sure the octopus is fully submerged. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking

Cook the Octopus
Heat a grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the octopus from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Grill the octopus for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked and slightly charred.
- 5
Serve
Transfer the grilled baby octopus to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side.
