Main Ingredients

BBQ Sauce (optional)

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Make the Dry Rub

In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

    Apply the Rub

Generously apply the dry rub to both sides of the ribs, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 5

    Wrap the Ribs

Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil, making sure they are sealed properly to trap the moisture.

  3. 6

    Bake the Ribs

Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.

  4. 7

    Glaze with BBQ Sauce (Optional)

If using BBQ sauce, remove the ribs from the oven and unwrap them. Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce on both sides, then return to the oven uncovered for an additional 30 minutes.

  5. 8

    Rest and Serve

Once cooked, remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with additional BBQ sauce if desired.
