Ingredients
Beef Brisket
Marinade
Preparation of Marinade
1. Mix the Marinade
In a large mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, red wine vinegar, brown sugar, olive oil, minced garlic, black pepper, dried thyme, dried rosemary, smoked paprika, and salt. Whisk together until the sugar is fully dissolved and all ingredients are well incorporated.
Marinating the Brisket
2. Prepare the Brisket
Place the beef brisket in a large, resealable plastic bag or a deep dish. Pour the marinade over the beef, ensuring that it is fully covered.
3. Seal and Refrigerate
Seal the bag or cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight, allowing the flavors to penetrate the meat.
Cooking the Brisket
4. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
5. Bake the Brisket
Remove the brisket from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place it in a roasting pan and cover it with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 4 to 5 hours, or until the brisket is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
6. Rest and Serve
Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your choice of sides.
