Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if it hasn't been done already. This will help the ribs cook more evenly and allow the seasoning to penetrate better.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, and brown sugar. Rub the mixture evenly over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated on both sides.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). This slow cooking will help make the ribs tender.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up. Drizzle olive oil over the ribs. Cover with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.

  2. 5

    Glaze with Barbecue Sauce

After baking, remove the foil and brush the barbecue sauce generously over the ribs. Return to the oven for an additional 20-30 minutes, uncovered, until the sauce is caramelized.

  3. 6

    Rest and Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
