Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Rub the ribeye steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it's shimmering.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steak in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for about 5 minutes.

Cooking the Eggs

  1. 5

    Prepare the Eggs

In the same skillet with the leftover juices from the steak, reduce the heat to medium and crack the eggs into the pan.

  2. 6

    Cook the Eggs

Fry the eggs in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes, or until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  1. 7

    Slice and Serve

Slice the rested ribeye steak against the grain and serve it on a plate with the fried eggs on the side. Garnish with fresh parsley and hot sauce if desired.
