Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

Start by rinsing the shrimp under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels. Ensure they are fully peeled and deveined.

  2. 2

    Mise en Place

Gather all ingredients and have them ready to use. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  2. 4

    Sauté Garlic and Ginger

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Sauté for approximately 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.

  3. 5

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque, stirring occasionally.

  4. 6

    Add Teriyaki Sauce

Pour the teriyaki sauce over the cooked shrimp. Stir well to coat all the shrimp evenly. Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Once the shrimp are well-coated and the sauce has thickened, remove from heat. Serve the shrimp teriyaki over rice or noodles.

  2. 8

    Garnish

Sprinkle sliced green onions and sesame seeds over the top for added flavor and presentation.
