Method
Prepare the Filling
- 1
Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Assemble the Wontons
- 2
Fill the Wrappers
Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water.
- 3
Fold the Wontons
Fold the wrapper over the filling to create a triangle shape, pressing the edges to seal. You can also bring the two corners of the triangle together and pinch to form a traditional wonton shape.
Fry the Wontons
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 180°C).
- 5
Fry the Wontons
Carefully add the assembled wontons into the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried wontons and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
