Method

Filling Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, ground chicken, chopped green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Assembling Gyoza

  1. 2

    Fill the Wrappers

Take a gyoza wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half to create a half-moon shape, and press the edges to seal tightly. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

Frying

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot. You can test if the oil is ready by dropping a small piece of wrapper in; it should sizzle.

  2. 4

    Fry the Gyoza

Carefully add the gyoza to the hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy on one side. Flip them gently and fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the other side is golden brown.

  3. 5

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the gyoza from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with the dipping sauce.

Dipping Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili oil, and sesame oil. Stir well to mix.
