Slice the Beef
Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain into strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

Prepare the Teriyaki Sauce
In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Whisk together until the sugar is dissolved.

Cook the Beef
In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the Sauce
Pour the teriyaki sauce over the cooked beef. Stir to coat the beef in the sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Serving

Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
