Method

Filling Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.

  2. 2

    Add Vegetables

Add the shredded cabbage, chopped celery, grated carrot, chopped onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir well.

  3. 3

    Season the Mixture

Stir in the soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and sesame oil. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Remove from heat and let cool.

Wrapping Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Wrappers

Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner facing you. Place 2-3 tablespoons of the beef filling in the center of the wrapper.

  2. 5

    Fold the Wrapper

Fold the corner closest to you over the filling, then fold in the sides. Roll away from you to form a tight roll. Seal the edge with a little beaten egg.

  3. 6

    Repeat

Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling until all are wrapped.

Frying

  1. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 8

    Fry the Egg Rolls

Carefully add the egg rolls in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 9

    Drain and Serve

Remove the egg rolls from the oil and let them drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
