Fries

Method

Preparation of Fries

  1. 1

    Cutting the Potatoes

Peel the Russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Soaking the Potatoes

Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Drying the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels to ensure they are as dry as possible.

  4. 4

    Frying the Potatoes

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the dried potato strips in batches and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Seasoning the Fries

While the fries are still hot, season them with salt, black pepper, and paprika to taste.

Preparing Toppings

  1. 6

    Cooking the Wagyu Steak

Season the Wagyu steak with salt and black pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 7

    Sautéing the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and sauté the sliced onions, mushrooms, and sweet bell peppers for about 5-7 minutes until they are soft and slightly caramelized. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.

  3. 8

    Assembling the Fries

On a large serving platter, place the crispy fries. Layer the sautéed vegetables on top, followed by the sliced Wagyu steak. Finally, sprinkle the white American cheese over the top and allow it to melt slightly.

  4. 9

    Garnishing

Garnish the dish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
