Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Finely chop the garlic and chili pepper. Slice the Wagyu beef into small pieces. Beat the eggs in a bowl and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Garnish

Chop the green onions and set aside. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan over low heat until golden.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Wagyu Beef

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a splash of oil and sauté the Wagyu beef for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Aromatics

In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté the chopped garlic and chili pepper for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 5

    Add the Rice

Add the cooked jasmine rice to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, ensuring the rice is heated through and well mixed with the garlic and chili.

  4. 6

    Incorporate the Eggs

Push the rice to one side of the skillet and add the beaten eggs to the empty side. Scramble the eggs until just cooked, then mix them into the rice.

  5. 7

    Add the Sauces

Stir in the XO sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well and add the cooked Wagyu beef back to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Finishing Touches

  1. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the fried rice from the heat. Top with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
