Method
Preparing the Fries
- 1
Cook the Fries
Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen French fries package. Spread the fries evenly on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss to coat the fries evenly.
- 2
Bake
Bake the fries in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy, turning them halfway through for even cooking.
Preparing the Toppings
- 3
Sauté the Vegetables
While the fries are baking, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
- 4
- 5
Cook the Plant-Based Beef
Stir in the plant-based ground beef. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is heated through and slightly browned.
- 6
Melt the Cheese
Reduce heat to low and add the white American cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
Assembly
- 7
Assemble the Dish
Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and place them on a serving platter. Top the fries generously with the plant-based beef mixture.
- 8
Finish with Optional Sauce
If desired, drizzle with hot sauce to taste for an added kick. Serve immediately.
