Beef Preparation
- 1
Season the Roast
Take the American Wagyu Beef roast and pat it dry with paper towels. Rub the kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder all over the roast. Make sure to cover all sides evenly.
- 2
Sear the Roast
Preheat your oven to 225°F (107°C). Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the beef roast for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. This helps to lock in the flavors.
- 3
Roast the Beef
Transfer the seared beef roast to a roasting pan and place it in the preheated oven. Roast for approximately 2-3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
- 4
Rest the Roast
Once cooked, remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
Assembly
- 5
Prepare the Toppings
While the roast is resting, wash and slice the lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Set aside.
- 6
Slice the Roast
Using a sharp knife, slice the rested roast beef into thin slices against the grain.
- 7
Assemble the Sandwiches
Take a sub roll and layer it with sliced roast beef, followed by provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Spread mayonnaise on the top half of the roll. Close the sandwich.
- 8
Serve
Cut the sandwiches in half if desired and serve immediately. Enjoy your delicious American Wagyu Roast Beef sandwich!
