Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, celery, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft and translucent.

  2. 2

    Make the Roux

Sprinkle the flour over the sautéed vegetables. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to form a roux.

  3. 3

    Add Broth and Cream

Gradually whisk in the chicken broth, ensuring there are no lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then add the heavy cream, stirring to combine.

  4. 4

    Incorporate the Crab

Once the bisque is simmering, gently fold in the fresh lump crabmeat, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Allow to simmer for another 5-10 minutes to heat through.

  5. 5

    Serve

Ladle the bisque into bowls and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve hot and enjoy!
