Instructions for Berry Cobbler

  1. 1

    Prepare the Berries

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine the mixed berries with 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Stir gently to coat the berries and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Batter

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining 1/4 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Cobbler

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spoon the berry mixture evenly over the batter. Do not stir.

  4. 4

    Bake the Cobbler

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the berries are bubbling.

  5. 5

    Serve

Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
