For the Paneer Tikka

Method

For the Paneer Tikka

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Paneer

Cube the paneer and add it to the marinade. Cut bell peppers and onion into chunks and add them to the bowl. Toss everything gently to coat and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Grill the Paneer

Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated paneer, bell peppers, and onion onto skewers. Brush with oil and grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and slightly charred.

For the Masala Sauce

  1. 4

    Cook the Onions

In a pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

  2. 5

    Add Ginger-Garlic

Add ginger-garlic paste to the onions and cook for another minute until fragrant.

  3. 6

    Add Tomatoes and Spices

Stir in the pureed tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for about 10-15 minutes until the oil separates from the sauce.

  4. 7

    Finish the Sauce

Add garam masala and cream to the sauce. Stir well and let it simmer for another 5-7 minutes.

  5. 8

    Combine with Paneer

Once the paneer tikka is ready, add it to the masala sauce. Mix gently to coat the paneer in the sauce. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
