Miso Soup Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Rehydrate Wakame

In a small bowl, soak the dried wakame in warm water for about 5-10 minutes until it expands and becomes tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare Broth

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low.

  3. 3

    Add Miso

In a small bowl, mix the miso paste with a ladle of the hot broth until smooth. Then, add this mixture back into the pot. Stir well to dissolve the miso completely.

  4. 4

    Add Ingredients

Add the cubed tofu and rehydrated wakame to the pot. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes, ensuring the tofu is heated through.

  5. 5

    Finish with Seasoning

Add the sliced green onion, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir gently and let it simmer for another 1-2 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve hot. Enjoy your homemade miso soup!
