Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ice Cream Base

In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Divide the Base for Flavors

Divide the ice cream base into equal portions in separate bowls to make the different flavors.

  3. 3

    Add Flavorings

Add your desired flavorings to each portion: for chocolate, mix in 1/2 cup of cocoa powder; for green tea, stir in 2-3 tsp of matcha powder; for seasonal flavors, incorporate purees or extracts as desired.

  4. 4

    Chill the Mixture

Cover each bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until completely chilled.

  5. 5

    Churn the Ice Cream

Pour each chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

  6. 6

    Freeze the Ice Cream

Transfer the churned ice cream to airtight containers and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

  7. 7

    Serve

Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones and enjoy!
