Brookie Ingredients

Method

Brookie Directions

1

Prepare the Brownie Layer

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

2

Make Brownie Batter

In a medium bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and 1 egg at a time until well combined. Add 1 tsp vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt, and mix until smooth. Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips.

3

Pour Brownie Batter

Spread the brownie batter evenly in the bottom of the greased baking pan.

4

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in 2 eggs, remaining vanilla extract, and mix well.

5

Add Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix this into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in the remaining chocolate chips.

6

Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the brownie layer, spreading it out as evenly as possible.

7

Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.

8

Cool and Serve

Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares. Enjoy your Brookies!
