Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cassava Leaves

Wash the cassava leaves thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or impurities. Chop them finely and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Onion and Tomatoes

In a large pot, heat the palm oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Then add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft.

  3. 3

    Add the Groundnut Paste

Stir in the groundnut paste into the pot and mix well with the onion and tomatoes. Cook for about 5 minutes until well incorporated.

  4. 4

    Combine with Cassava Leaves

Add the chopped cassava leaves to the pot. Pour in the water and stir well. Season with salt and chili pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Simmer

Cover the pot and let the mixture simmer for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally until the cassava leaves are tender and the flavors meld together.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve hot with fufu, nsima, or rice.
