Preparing the Prawns

Boil the Prawns
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the prawns and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them.

Season the Prawns
In a bowl, mix the cooled prawns with lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Toss gently to combine, and set aside.
Making the Marie Rose Sauce

Combine the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and Tabasco sauce. Stir well until fully mixed.

Season the Sauce
Taste the sauce and add salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as preferred, and set aside.
Assembling the Prawn Cocktail

Prepare the Serving Dish
On a serving plate or in individual cocktail glasses, lay down the lettuce leaves as a bed for the prawns.

Add the Prawns
Arrange the seasoned prawns on top of the lettuce leaves.

Top with Sauce
Generously drizzle the Marie Rose sauce over the prawns.

Finish with lemon wedges on the side for garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
