Preparation Instructions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
- 2
- 3
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together over a saucepan of simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave in short bursts (15-20 seconds), stirring until smooth.
- 4
Mix Sugar and Eggs
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and large eggs until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- 5
- 6
Add Flour
Sift the all-purpose flour over the chocolate mixture and gently fold it in until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- 7
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling them about ¾ full.
- 8
Bake the Fondant
Place the ramekins on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes. The edges should be set, but the center should still be soft and slightly jiggly.
- 9
Cool and Serve
Remove from the oven and let them sit for 1-2 minutes. Carefully run a knife around the edges to loosen, then invert onto plates to serve. Enjoy immediately for that molten center!
