Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Croutons

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut day-old bread into cubes and toss with olive oil, salt, and garlic powder. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.

  2. 2

    Make the Caesar Dressing

In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, anchovy paste, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Salad

Wash and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. In a large mixing bowl, combine the romaine, croutons, and grated Parmesan cheese. Drizzle with Caesar dressing and toss to coat.

  4. 4

    Serve

Transfer the salad to a serving platter or individual bowls. Top with extra Parmesan cheese if desired and serve immediately.
