Prepare the Croutons
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut day-old bread into cubes and toss with olive oil, salt, and garlic powder. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.

Make the Caesar Dressing
In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, anchovy paste, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the Salad
Wash and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. In a large mixing bowl, combine the romaine, croutons, and grated Parmesan cheese. Drizzle with Caesar dressing and toss to coat.

Serve
Transfer the salad to a serving platter or individual bowls. Top with extra Parmesan cheese if desired and serve immediately.
