Preparing the Fries
1. Cut the Potatoes
Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide.
2. Soak the Potatoes
Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
3. Heat the Oil
In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
4. Fry the Potatoes
Drain and pat dry the soaked potatoes. Carefully add them to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
5. Drain and Season
Remove the fries with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain. Sprinkle with salt and paprika while hot.
Cooking the Steak
6. Prepare the Steak
Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary.
7. Grill the Steak
Preheat the grill to high heat. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.
8. Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
