Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Once hot, place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-6 minutes on one side. Flip the steaks and cook for another 4-6 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting the time for your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 4

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the russet potatoes into equal-sized chunks. Place them in a large pot, cover with cold water, and add a teaspoon of salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Garlic

While the potatoes are boiling, peel the garlic cloves and add them to a small saucepan with butter. Cook over low heat until the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden, about 5 minutes.

  3. 6

    Mash the Potatoes

Once the potatoes are tender, drain them and return them to the pot. Pour in the heavy cream and the garlic butter mixture, then mash until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
