Method

Tea Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep the Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 tablespoons of Thai tea leaves. Cover and let the tea steep for about 10-15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea using a fine mesh strainer into a heatproof pitcher to remove the tea leaves.

Sweetening the Tea

  1. 4

    Mix Milk and Sugar

In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk, 1 tablespoon of evaporated milk, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 5

    Combine with Tea

Pour the sweetened milk mixture into the strained tea and stir well to combine.

Serving

  1. 6

    Prepare Glasses

Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes (about 1 cup of ice per glass).

  2. 7

    Pour the Tea

Pour the sweetened Thai tea over the ice in each glass.

  3. 8

    Garnish

Add a few mint leaves to each glass for garnish and serve immediately.
