Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Rinse the Chrysanthemum Flowers

Gently rinse 2 cups of dried chrysanthemum flowers under cold running water to remove any dust or impurities. Set aside in a bowl.

  2. 2

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

  3. 3

    Add Chrysanthemum Flowers

Once the water is boiling, carefully add the rinsed chrysanthemum flowers to the pot.

  4. 4

    Simmer the Tea

Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the flowers simmer in the water for about 10 minutes. You should see the water change to a light yellow color.

  5. 5

    Add Rock Sugar

After simmering, add 1 cup of rock sugar to the pot and stir gently until it dissolves completely.

  6. 6

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the tea and adjust sweetness, adding honey or more rock sugar if desired. If using, add goji berries and stir.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve Hot

Pour the sweet chrysanthemum tea into cups. If desired, add lemon slices for extra flavor. Enjoy the tea warm.

  2. 8

    Chill Option

For a refreshing iced version, allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice with goji berries and lemon slices.
