Method

Dumpling Filling Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped shrimp, green onions, grated carrot, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Assembling the Dumplings

  1. 2

    Fill the Wrappers

Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it over to form a triangle, pressing out any air. Seal the edges firmly. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

Frying the Dumplings

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  2. 4

    Fry the Dumplings

Carefully add the dumplings to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve with Sauces

Serve the crispy shrimp dumplings hot, accompanied by Thai sweet chili sauce and plum sauce for dipping.
