Doughnut Preparation

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Fry Donuts
Using a spoon or a donut cutter, drop batter into the hot oil, frying a few at a time until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Drain and Cool
Remove donuts from oil and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Allow to cool slightly before filling.

In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form.

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined and smooth.

In a saucepan, whisk together eggs and granulated sugar until smooth.
