Method

Preparing the Lobster

  1. 1

    Thaw the Lobster Tails

If using frozen lobster tails, place them in the refrigerator overnight to thaw. If you're short on time, you can also thaw them under cold running water for about 30-60 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Lobster Tails

Using kitchen scissors, cut down the top shell of the lobster tail, stopping just before the tail fin. Gently pull the shell apart to expose the meat, and lift the meat slightly while keeping it attached at the base.

Cooking the Lobster

  1. 3

    Preheat the Broiler

Set your oven's broiler to high and allow it to preheat for about 10 minutes.

  2. 4

    Make the Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the juice of half the lemon, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 5

    Broil the Lobster Tails

Place the prepared lobster tails on a baking sheet. Brush them generously with the garlic butter mixture. Broil the lobster tails for about 8-10 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through. Baste with more garlic butter halfway through cooking.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Lobster

Once cooked, remove the lobster tails from the oven and squeeze fresh lemon juice over them. Optionally, garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

  2. 7

    Enjoy

Serve the lobster tails hot with extra garlic butter on the side for dipping.
