Crispy Mashed Potatoes

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the sirloin steak with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Ensure that the steak is evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until the desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Crispy Mashed Potatoes

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and chop the russet potatoes into quarters. Boil them in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 4

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  3. 5

    Prepare for Crisping

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Transfer the mashed potatoes to a baking dish and spread evenly. Top with breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

  4. 6

    Bake the Potatoes

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

Cooking the Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 7

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the mixed seasonal vegetables, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
