Main Ingredient

Crispy Mashed Potatoes

Seasonal Vegetables

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Remove the Prime New York Strip Steak from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet or grill over high heat. Add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Crispy Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 3

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into uniform pieces. Boil in a pot of salted water for about 15-20 minutes or until fork-tender.

  2. 4

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  3. 5

    Prepare for Crisping

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Transfer the mashed potatoes to a baking dish. Top with breadcrumbs and drizzle olive oil over the top.

  4. 6

    Bake the Potatoes

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

Vegetables Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop the carrots and asparagus into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 8

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the carrots and sauté for 5 minutes. Then add asparagus and sauté for another 3-4 minutes, until tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
