Main Ingredients

Seasoning and Oil

For Onion Rings

Method

Prepare the Relish and Onion Rings

  1. 1

    Prepare Sweet Pepper Relish

Chop the sweet bell peppers and set them aside. This will be used as a relish on the burger.

  2. 2

    Make Onion Rings

Slice the large onion into thick rings. In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and cold water to make a batter.

  3. 3

    Fry Onion Rings

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Dip each onion ring into the batter and carefully place it in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Cook the Ahi Tuna and Assemble the Club

  1. 4

    Season the Ahi Tuna

Brush the ahi tuna steaks with olive oil and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  2. 5

    Grill the Ahi Tuna

Preheat the grill to high heat. Grill the ahi tuna steaks for approximately 1-2 minutes on each side for rare doneness. Remove from the grill and let them rest.

  3. 6

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess fat.

  4. 7

    Assemble the Club

On the bottom half of each burger bun, layer leafy greens, the grilled ahi tuna, crispy bacon, sweet pepper relish, and top with onion rings. Place the top half of the bun on each burger.
