Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Glaze
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, grated ginger, and honey. Stir well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 2
Cook the Protein
In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the diced chicken or cubed tofu. Cook until golden brown and cooked through (about 7-10 minutes for chicken, 5-7 minutes for tofu).
- 3
Combine with Glaze
Add the prepared glaze to the cooked chicken or tofu in the skillet. Stir to coat evenly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- 4
Prepare Spicy Aioli
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and sriracha sauce. Adjust the spiciness to your liking.
- 5
Assemble the Wraps
Spoon the glazed chicken or tofu into the center of each lettuce leaf. Top with chopped peanuts and crushed wontons. Drizzle with spicy aioli.
- 6
Serve
Serve the lettuce wraps immediately, garnished with additional peanuts and wontons if desired.
