Burger Preparation Directions
1. Prepare the Aioli
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the onion into wedges, drizzle with olive oil, and roast for 25-30 minutes until caramelized. Let cool, then blend with mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
2. Form the Patties
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, slightly larger than the burger buns.
3. Cook the Patties
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Season the patties with salt and pepper, and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Add cheddar cheese slices on top during the last minute to melt.
4. Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger buns lightly. Spread roasted onion aioli on both sides of the buns. Place the first patty on the bottom bun, followed by pickles and lettuce. Top with the second patty and cover with the top bun.
5. Serve
