Method

Making the Sauce

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sauce

In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add San Marzano tomatoes, Calabrian chili paste, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Assembling the Pizza

  1. 2

    Prepare the Pizza

Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.

  2. 3

    Add Sauce and Toppings

Spread the Calabrian chili-infused sauce evenly over the dough. Layer with sliced spianata salami, piquillo peppers, and shredded mozzarella cheese. Finish with a sprinkle of grated Pecorino Romano cheese.

  3. 4

    Bake the Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.

  4. 5

    Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
