Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with flour, tapping out the excess.

  2. 2

    Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together over a pot of simmering water (double boiler) or in the microwave until smooth. Stir and let cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture, mixing until combined. Fold in the flour and vanilla extract until just combined.

  4. 4

    Fill Ramekins

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins. Place them on a baking tray.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is soft. Remove from oven and let cool for 1 minute.

Serving Suggestions

  1. 6

    Serve

Carefully invert each ramekin onto a serving plate. The cake should release easily. Serve immediately with fresh raspberries and a scoop of Tahitian vanilla ice cream on the side.
