Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently and form into two equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. If using, add cheese slices during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon (optional)

In a separate pan, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Guacamole Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Avocados

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.

  2. 6

    Mash the Avocados

Add lime juice, minced garlic, and salt to the avocados. Mash with a fork until smooth or desired consistency is reached.

  3. 7

    Add Cilantro and Tomato

Fold in chopped cilantro and diced tomato into the mashed avocado mixture.

Pico de Gallo Preparation

  1. 8

    Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, chopped onion, jalapeño, lime juice, chopped cilantro, and salt.

  2. 9

    Mix and Let Sit

Stir well to combine and let sit for at least 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Assembly

  1. 10

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a burger patty. Top with a generous scoop of guacamole and a spoonful of pico de gallo.

  2. 11

    Add Bacon (optional)

If desired, add crispy bacon slices on top of the pico de gallo.

  3. 12

    Finish the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
