Method

Preparing the Taco Meat

  1. 1

    Cook the Ground Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Make sure to break it apart as it cooks.

  2. 2

    Add Taco Seasoning

Once the beef is browned, drain any excess fat. Then, stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture thickens.

Assembling the Taco Burger

  1. 3

    Toast the Burger Buns

While the taco meat is simmering, toast the burger buns on a grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  2. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted burger bun, place a generous scoop of the seasoned taco meat. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a drizzle of Tex-Mex sauce.

  3. 5

    Complete the Burger

Place the top half of the bun over the toppings to complete the burger. Serve immediately while warm.
