Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the NY Strip steak with salt and black pepper on both sides. Allow it to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is achieved. Remove from skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Eggs

  1. 3

    Cook the Eggs

In the same skillet used for the steak (after draining excess oil if necessary), add butter and heat over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your preferred style (sunny-side-up, over-easy, scrambled, etc.). Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the whites are set.

Toast

  1. 4

    Toast the Bread

While the eggs are cooking, toast the slices of bread in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown. Spread butter on the toast while still warm.
