Cookie Base

Method

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the skillet cookie.

  2. 2

In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in brown sugar and granulated sugar until well combined.

  3. 3

Mix in vanilla extract thoroughly, then beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.

  4. 4

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients in the skillet, stirring until just combined.

  5. 5

Gently fold in the chocolate chips into the dough until evenly distributed.

  6. 6

Evenly spread the cookie dough in the skillet, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  7. 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.

Serving

  1. 8

    Add Toppings

While the cookie is still warm, place 4 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream on top of the cookie. Drizzle with chocolate sauce and caramel sauce, then sprinkle with glazed pecans.

  2. 9

    Serve

Slice the skillet cookie into wedges and serve immediately with extra sauces on the side, if desired.
