Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribeye

Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper evenly.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the ribeye steak in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Add fresh rosemary during the last minute of cooking.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices.

French Green Beans

  1. 6

    Prepare the Green Beans

Trim the ends of the French green beans and rinse them under cold water.

  2. 7

    Blanch the Green Beans

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and blanch for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.

  3. 8

    Sauté the Green Beans

In the same skillet used for the steak, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  4. 9

    Combine and Season

Add the blanched green beans to the skillet and toss with garlic. Drizzle with lemon juice, and season with salt and black pepper. Sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.

Sour Cream Whipped Potato

  1. 10

    Cook the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into even chunks. Place in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 11

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add sour cream, butter, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  3. 12

    Serve the Potatoes

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Keep warm until ready to serve.
