Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patty

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper until just combined. Form into one 8 oz patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium doneness. Add the slice of aged cheddar cheese on top in the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 3

    Prepare the Toppings

While the patty is cooking, wash the lettuce leaf, slice the tomato into thick slices, and slice the onion into rings.

  2. 4

    Build the Burger

Once the patty is cooked, place it on a bun (if desired), add the lettuce, tomato, and onion on top of the cheeseburger. Close the bun.

Prepare the Fries

  1. 5

    Cook the Fries

Prepare the frozen French fries according to the package instructions, typically by baking or frying until golden brown and crispy. Season with salt to taste.
