Prepare the Glass
Take a rocks glass and place it on a stable surface.

Add the Ice
Fill the glass with ice cubes until it's about three-quarters full.

Mix the Ingredients
In a separate mixing glass, combine 2 oz of Maker's Mark Bourbon, 1 tsp of simple syrup, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.

Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 20-30 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients.

Strain into the Glass
Strain the mixed ingredients over the ice-filled rocks glass.

Garnish the Drink
Garnish with a cherry and a slice of orange on the rim of the glass.
