Irish Sidecar Recipe

Preparation

   Prepare the Glass

   Begin by rimming a chilled cocktail glass with sugar. To do this, moisten the rim of the glass with a lemon wedge and then dip it into a small plate of sugar to coat the edge.

   Mix the Cocktail

   In a cocktail shaker, combine the Bushmills Irish Whiskey, Triple Sec, and Fresh Lemon Juice. Add the ice cubes to the shaker.

   Shake the Mixture

   Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.

   Strain and Serve

   Strain the mixture into the prepared cocktail glass. Make sure to pour it gently to avoid disturbing the sugar rim.

   Garnish

   Finally, garnish your Irish Sidecar with a lemon twist. Simply twist a piece of lemon peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it into the glass.
